Off Island Soccer (Association Soccer)

 VISC’s Association league (U11+) participates with other clubs to form leagues to play in. Each league has its own board and rules. The two leagues we primarily participate in are the SSUL and PCSA, and some teams have participated in the NPSL. These leagues set their own rules and review any exceptions or protests. Games are half on-island and half off-island. Practices are twice a week. Players are issued player cards and must check in before games with their cards. League standings and scores are tracked.

Players born on July 31, 2016 or earlier registering after July 10th will be assessed a $10 late fee and will be placed on a waiting list for team placement. VISC cannot guarantee team placement after July 10th, when teams will be formed and assigned a coach.

If there are no team openings, additional teams may be formed from players on the waitlist if a parent volunteer is available to coach, enough players are on the waitlist, and if we can find a league to accept us. If there are not enough players to form two teams, we have many creative options. The final decision regarding team formation will be up to the coaches and the league directors. Examples of options to handle players when additional teams are impossible include:

• Later registrants can practice but not play in games.
• Rotating rosters determined by coach decision, with preference in playing time for earlier registrants and practice participation/effort.

Vashon Micro Intro Soccer - U5 and U6 players join their parents for Sunday afternoon coed intro to soccer.

Vashon Mod Soccer (short for modified soccer) - U6 - U10 players have one weeknight practice and one Sunday game, plus some optional scrimmages. VISC sets its own rules, under the guidance of US Soccer and the club’s unique constraints and resources. Currently, we’re dividing leagues by traditional birthday cutoffs for school grade: U6 = kindergarten, U8 = 1st and 2nd grade, U10 = 3rd and 4th grade. VISC sets its own rules for Mod and Micro soccer, under the guidance of US Soccer and the club’s unique constraints and resources.  This includes fields and goal sizes, number of players on the field for a game, play up and play down policies, and rules of the game.  

The focus of Mod and Micro soccer is for players to have fun and enjoy soccer.

Fall 2025 rates: U6 = $43, U8 = $100, U10 = $130

Refunds

• Full refund granted on or before Aug 1, or if not placed on a team.
• 50% refund for players withdrawing by September 1st.
• No refunds for players withdrawing after September 1st.
• Late fees shall not be refunded in any case.
